State of the Blog Address

Well, my faithful followers, today is the first Wednesday of the new year. Kind of crazy to think about, isn’t it? Time just marches on and on, pulling us along with it in its mad caper across the universe.

Let’s review some quick stats from the year!

  1. Total Posts: 96

  2. Most Popular Day: Monday

  3. Total Followers: 82

None of these stats would be possible without y’all, so thank you for all your support this year!

The new year is a great time for starting new things, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to do a soft reboot on this blog. By “soft reboot,” I mean making things more consistent and overall better. (Or at least, I hope it’ll be better. We’ll see in a few weeks what we all think about it.)

With that in mind, let’s take a quick look at what y’all can expect in the coming months!

  1. Monday Musings—These devotional posts will continue showing up every Monday morning. I love doing these; it gives me a fantastic opportunity to teach what God has taught me during the week and reach people I otherwise never would have met. They’re the foundation of this blog, and I’m excited to keep them coming!

  2. Writing posts—I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I’m woefully negligent about keeping y’all updated on my writing endeavors. That will change this year, though! Every other Wednesday, I’ll share little writing tidbits, whether that’s updates on my novels or just writing tips. I might even go on a few bunny trails about why quality Christian fiction is important or why we need a variety of genres in Christian fiction. We shall see! I’m also hoping to post a few short stories throughout the year, probably connected to my novels in some way.

  3. Book reviews—I’m enjoying my new book review career, and I definitely intend to keep that going! I’ll post these on Fridays, and they’ll sometimes be supplemented with author interviews or book spotlights. Basically, Friday is the day to help out other authors by letting you know about their works.

So that’s what’s in the works for this new year! I’m excited to grow this blog and keep bringing y’all enjoyable content. Let me know in the comments what you’re most looking forward to this year, whether from this blog or just in your own life!
